Business Support Partner, Metabolic Diseases

The Business Support Partner acts as a partner to the Business Unit Director and cross-functional teams, ensuring that all business activities are executed efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with internal processes and external regulations.

This role goes beyond traditional administrative support, owning the coordination, governance, and optimization of day-to-day business operations, with a strong focus on compliance, documentation, vendor management, and execution excellence across key business activities (events, projects, and collaborations).

Job Description

Business Operations & Process Excellence

• Support the Business Unit Director in defining and implementing efficient ways of working, processes, and operating models.
• Identify inefficiencies and proactively propose improvements in business workflows.
• Ensure smooth coordination of cross-functional activities across Medical, Marketing, Commercial, and PACE teams.
• Track key activities and milestones, ensuring execution on time and with quality.

Governance and Compliance

• Ensure all business activities (events, HCP engagements, vendors) are fully compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
• Coordinate and monitor documentation workflows (contracts, approvals, documentation archiving) ensuring completeness and audit readiness.
• Act as a key interface with Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure proper execution of processes.
• Maintain structured and traceable documentation across systems and shared platforms.

Vendor & External Partner Management

• Support end-to-end management of external vendors (agencies, event providers, suppliers).
• Ensure alignment between business needs, budgets, and contractual requirements.
• Support contract preparation, follow-up, and documentation in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor execution and ensure quality delivery of services.

Events & Project Coordination

• Support the operational organization of events (advisory boards, congresses, internal meetings, trainings) when needed.
• Ensure all logistical, contractual, and compliance aspects are properly managed.
• Coordinate cross-functional inputs and timelines for successful delivery.

Advanced Administrative & Coordination Support

• Manage complex calendars, travel planning, and logistics aligned with business priorities.
• Coordinate internal and external communications when needed.
• Provide support to cross-functional teams on administrative and operational needs.

Qualifications

Required

• Degree in Business Administration, Law or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role (Business Support, Executive Assistant, Operations or Project Coordination)
• Experience in pharmaceutical environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience supporting complex activities (events, vendors, projects)
• High attention to detail, especially in documentation and compliance processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Fluent in English and Spanish
