Own engineering excellence: You'll design lightweight career paths, run coaching 1:1s, and build a culture where risks are surfaced early and delivery is predictable.

Kill the "zombie projects": Bring discipline to planning. Know when to reset, when to rescope, and how to avoid projects lingering for months without launch.

Champion AI-first ways of working: Use AI as a force-multiplier in your people management—and encourage your engineers to do the same in their dev workflows.

A proven EM: You've managed engineers before—this isn't your first rodeo. You're ready to hit the ground running on people topics from day one.

Technically literate: You don't need to code, but you can hold your own on real-time systems, WebRTC, and architectural trade-offs.
