General Manager-Flex Living (Onsite)

Location: Madrid, Spain. On-site role in a new Be Case building with over 800 units. The role is responsible for the overall operation of the community, ensuring financial, operational, and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a role model at all times by demonstrating core values.
• Leads the team to create positive, memorable resident experiences exceeding expectations.
• Partners with marketing to shape local leasing strategies and develop marketing campaigns, advertising, and promotional activities.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders (sales, marketing, groups), communicates regularly, and provides performance data and reporting.
• Engages with residents to proactively improve service delivery and enhances community events to enrich the overall resident experience.
• Achieves targeted revenues by making rate recommendations based on market data and monitors payments.
• Prepares and forecasts annual budgets by analysing financial statements, reviewing marketing information, and accessing operational reports.
• Manages financial performance; attends regular P&L reviews with stakeholders, promotes investor satisfaction, and retains investor relationships via timely variance reporting.
• Promotes resident satisfaction and retention by promptly responding to questions, requests, and complaints, and taking appropriate action to resolve service issues.
• Assesses team member training needs, ensures thorough understanding of systems and adherence to policies, and develops team capabilities to meet performance goals and succession planning.
• Originates, approves, and submits purchase orders; processes vendor, contractor, and service provider invoices; manages finance and stakeholder communication.
• Oversees tenancy management: coordinates apartment inspections, eviction, late fee collection, and ensures lease compliance.
• Collaborates with Health & Safety to enforce safety culture, manage health & safety compliance, incident reporting, and maintain a risk‑free environment.
• Ensures operations comply with company policies, housing laws, and residential letting regulations.
• Manages planned and reactive maintenance and refurbishments, working with marketing and capital projects teams to guarantee timely communication and high standards within budget.
• Conducts community walk‑abouts and inspections, taking actions to meet safety, cleanliness, and appearance standards.

Qualifications

• Good general education; fluent in English; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Proficiency in property‑management software (training provided).
• Knowledge of Spain Health and Safety policies and preferably formal training.
• Experience successfully driving leasing performance and managing operations in the property sector.
• Leadership experience with a proven track record of delivering service excellence.
• Strong teamwork, autonomy, and ownership ability.
• Excellent organisational skills; multitasking and prioritisation.
• Excellent verbal & written communication.
• Numerical skills for financial reporting.
