HyperVR Games is a VR gaming studio and publisher, founded in 2021, based in Riga, Latvia.

We develop casual VR games that deliver immersive, highly interactive experiences for a broad audience. Our ambition is to become one of the leading creators of premium VR entertainment by combining strong product thinking, fast iteration, and exceptional execution.

Our award-winning title Shave & Stuff received the “Best in Play” award at the Game Developers Conference 2023 and is available on Meta Quest, Pico, and Steam .

We're looking for a 3D Generalist to create and drive environments across our VR games from early ideas and blockouts to finished scenes in Unity.

You'll work hands-on with 3D modeling, scene composition, lighting, materials, and Unity. We're looking for someone who can take a product brief, come up with a strong visual solution, and bring it into the game.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Environment style and concept exploration;

• 3D environment and asset creation;

• Level art, scene composition, and dressing;

• Environment art direction and visual storytelling;

• AI-assisted concepting and rapid iteration;

• Environment integration and optimization for VR.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• B2 English (spoken and written);

• 4+ years of experience as a 3D Artist / Environment Artist in game development;

• Strong proficiency in Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or equivalent 3D tools;

• Strong environment art fundamentals: composition, proportions, shape language, color, materials, lighting, and readability;

• Experience creating stylized, game-ready environments and assets;

• Ability to take an environment from early idea and blockout to a production-ready scene;

• Strong level art and scene dressing skills;

• Ability to own and drive the visual quality of an environment, not only execute existing concepts;

• Good understanding of real-time 3D requirements: topology, UVs, textures, materials, lighting, and optimization;

• Hands-on Unity experience and ability to build and improve scenes directly in the engine.

Nice to Have

• VR game development experience;

• Experience using generative AI as part of a professional art workflow;

• Experience with shaders, lighting, VFX, and material setup;

• Experience optimizing environments for standalone VR;

• Experience with highly interactive or physics-driven environments.
