What we look for?

We are seeking a Software / DevOps Engineer to play a key role in assisting our software development teams in migrating to the cloud and adopting DevOps best practices for a client in the banking sector.

Work Location

• Hybrid model in Madrid (3 days in the office, 2 days WFH).
• Open to relocation.

Main tasks and accountabilities:

• Support multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and product teams in onboarding to our internal DevOps platform and curated Azure services.
• Drive the re-platforming/migration of applications to cloud infrastructure, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards, compliance controls, and secure-by-design principles.
• Drive the migration of CI/CD pipelines from Bitbucket/Jenkins to GitLab, ensuring alignment with platform standards and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate closely with development teams, educating and enabling them on DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native development.
• Contribute to improving the developer experience by creating templates, documentation, and training materials that simplify platform adoption.

What we expect from you:

• Software engineer with profound hands-on experience (5 years) in application development (Java, .NET, Python, or similar).
• Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and migrating between toolchains (Bitbucket/Jenkins → GitLab).
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Git workflows, and modern delivery practices.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience with deployment of containerized workloads and orchestration (Nexus, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working in air-gapped or restricted enterprise environments, where all external dependencies must be consumed from internal registries.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a strong advantage.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience working in agile environments (SAFe or similar) and collaborating across multiple teams.
