The Team

The Infrastructure and Capital Projects (Infra) teamfocuses on improving return on investment capital and reducing the risks specific to capital projects. The Infra team is built on deep industry sector expertise with a demonstrably differentiated ability to address the most complex business problems and by supporting our owner/operator/contractor clients, Alvarez & Marsal's ultimate goal is to reduce the level of uncertainty associated with the development and operational costs of your projects, contributing to greater shareholder value drawn from procurement through execution and asset management through different solutions.

How you will contribute

A&M continues to expand in EMEA, and we are looking to recruit a Manager to be based in our Madrid office. Working with some of the industry's brightest and most experienced colleagues, you will:

• Lead the execution of work fronts with expertise, identifying improvement initiatives and actively engaging with the client in all phases of the project.
• Lead meetings and presentations with both client and A&M's managerial and executive levels, demonstrating confidence and mastery of the topics discussed.
• Assume a leadership role with teams and clients, participating in effective negotiations and collaborations between leaders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships for business growth.
• Participate in events and associations to foster relationships and identify opportunities.
• Work with a creative mindset to co-create solutions and offer innovative approaches to address client challenges.
• Take advantage of industry network and influence to identify and develop new business opportunities for A&M Infra and other Business Units.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related major.
• Must have: 7+ years of total proven experience in the infrastructure sector of which 3+ years in a Top Tier consulting firm .
• Experience in the infrastructure sector must include working for a developer or a contractor in the delivery of major complex infrastructure projects (highways, railways, airports, stations, ports..)
• Ideally, complementary experience in the energy sector, particularly in renewables, transmission lines, grids, BESS.
• Previous experience and knowledge of the following aspects will be positively considered: Project Finance, Different contracting structures (P3, EPC, DBF…)Technical/Commercial Due Diligence on infrastructure assets, Business Plan modelling for infrastructure assets: Opex/Capex
• Strong business acumen, self-propelled entrepreneurial mindset, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Availability for travel.
• Ability to facilitate analyses to guide project delivery, proposing action plans and demonstrating confidence in decision-making.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate to senior members of management, client representatives and colleagues.
• Highly analytical and conceptual problem-solving mind-set.
• Strong project management and negotiation skills.
• Team-oriented personality.
