Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for executing the Purchase Orders, from placement to goods/invoice receipt. The overall focus of the role is to manage the complete Purchase Order process, including placing and managing the Purchase Orders while ensuring any back‑end issues regarding invoice and good receipt discrepancies are addressed. The role will also conduct sourcing activities for specific defined scopes at their installed site that are not covered by the Sourcing Specialist role.

Scope of Responsibility

• Place Purchase Orders, including AMO where applicable, in line with supplier selection and commercial terms agreed.
• Ensure Purchase Orders are placed cleanly with correct documentation.
• Manage open Purchase Orders, including MRP dates, change orders.
• Execute spot sourcing demand not covered by the Sourcing Specialist function.
• Ensure RFQs managed comply with global sourcing strategies.
• Create and expedite new supplier requests/changes as required via the MDG‑Supplier process.
• Identify and elevate specific supply/supplier risks.
• Maintain ERP data parameters for Supplier Data and Supply Chain fields.
• Manage Pattern Data within AIM (Castings only).
• Address discrepancies related to pricing or quantity that may impact invoice payment or goods receipt.
• Operate in full compliance with all Flowserve policies and procedures.

Preferred Competencies and Skills

• English required
• 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain
• Strong interpersonal relationship management
• Solid commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Project Management
• Knowledge of supply base in the region for the assigned categories
• Strong analytical skills to collect, analyze, and interpret data
• Certified Supply Chain Professional
• Ability to influence, communicate, and collaborate at all organizational levels
• Expertise with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Data and process discipline
