About the role

Monzo is seeking a Senior Product Data Scientist excited to help build the bank of the future. The role focuses on supercharging user engagement and creating a product customers truly love.

Responsibilities

• Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to understand how users interact with products and derive insights that inform product strategy.
• Guide and enable product teams to measure key metrics, initiate or run A/B experiments to continuously improve product outcomes.
• Collaborate with finance to build a unified company‑wide understanding of user lifetime value and how product features impact profitability.
• Liaise with engineering teams to ensure accurate data collection that supports relevant business insights.

Qualifications

• Impact driven with a genuine desire to positively influence the company, product, and users.
• Commercially minded, able to translate numbers into business perspective.
• A balanced mix of hands‑on work and strategic thinking.
• Self‑starter who proactively identifies issues and opportunities without being prompted.
• Team player trusted by colleagues.
• Solid grounding in SQL and preferably Python.
• Experience conducting large‑scale A/B experiments.
