Data Engineer

The recent acceleration of AI and ML is driving advancements and disruption in the Intra Datacenter Networking. The iPronics technology offers an unique solution to the AI/ML needs and is riding this exciting wave. iPronics is developing and launching their Optical Network Engine to meet this need for full optical bandwidth switching in advanced data center architectures. Our product offering is a full technology stack from Silicon Photonics to API layers delivered as a turn-key rack mounted form factor seamlessly integrating into a data center chassis.

iPronics recently secured $125m of funding allowing us to continue to spearhead the Datacenter Optical Networking market with our disrupting Optical Networking Engine. We are successfully pushing the Photonics technology limits into production with the strong support of our Tier 1 supply chain.

We’re scaling photonic and semiconductor products from NPI to volume. Your mission as Data Engineer is to design and optimize data flow from the different internal and external sources in iPronic's Cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

Cloud deployments:

Develop, test and deploy cloud infrastructure for data processing in AWS (Terraform).

Data integration:

Participate in the creation and management of iPronic's Middleware for data integration with internal and external sources. Define and ensure best practices and security measures in data management..

Monitoring:

Design and maintain monitoring tools for data processing and data source management, with tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years working as a Data Engineer, ideally with experience in cluster deployment, and management of high volumes of data.
• 5+ years of experience as software developer. This is required to participate in the creation of the Middleware.
• Experience in Terraform for infrastructure management in AWS.
• SRE experience (monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, creation of dashboards).
• Experience in Kubernetes and AWS related services (ECS, EKS, KubeCost). Experience in deploying Kubernetes clusters with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm).
• The person in this role will have to interact with different teams, so social skills and eagerness to help are a must.
