This position requires a blend of creative design skills, project management skills and technical expertise.About the team:The R&D team within the division of RPSI is composed of experienced professionals dedicated to advancing the company ?s innovation and sustainability goals.
With allocations in multiple geographies having expertise across Healthcare, Homecare, Food, Beverage, Beauty and Wellness; with focus on:Sustainability: Implement and scale sustainable business practices across operations and value chain, focusing on reducing environmental impact while maximizing circularity and enhancing value creation.Product Innovation: Creating new and improved packaging designs that meet the evolving needs of customers across various industries.Cost Innovation: Value creation by reducing the costs associated with producing or delivering a product or service, while maintaining or improving its quality and performance.Key Function ResponsibilitiesGenerate innovative product concepts based on market research, customer feedback, and emerging trends.Be project manager and ensure that the projects are updated and follow our stage gate model.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.Create detailed design specifications, sketches, and prototypes using CAD software and other design tools.Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business objectives.Conduct product testing and iterate designs based on feedback and performance data.Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and materials to continuously bring fresh ideas to the table to be presented to the R&D Expert Centers team on a quarterly basis.Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, specifications, and project progress.Key performance indicatorsTracks the number of innovative product ideas generated within a specific period.Measures the time taken to move from concept to prototype, indicating efficiency in the design process.Measure the percentage of prototypes that successfully pass testing phases and move to the next stage of development.Evaluates the financial return generated from new products relative to the investment made in their development.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design and development, preferably in an R&D environment.Proficiency in CAD software (e.G., SolidWorks, KeyShot, etc).
